Michael Jason Registe has been caught in St. Maarten
Tips Help FBI Catch A Most-Wanted Man
FBI agents say that on August 27, 2008, fugitive Michael Jason Registe was arrested on the island of St. Maarten, in the Caribbean.
FBI Director Robert Mueller had teamed up with Americas Most Wanted (AMW) to announce Registe's addition to the FBI's Ten Most Wanted Fugitives list on July 26, 2008.
According to federal authorities, after we showed you Registe's mug shot, they received several tips placing him on the island of St. Marteen, in the Netherlands Antilles. Police there were able to investigate the leads, which ultimately lead to Registe's arrest.
Cops in Georgia say Michael Jason Registe is a vicious killer.
On the night of July 20, 2007, detectives in Columbus, Ga. responded to reports of a shooting and found two Columbus State University student athletes shot inside of a Chevy Blazer.
Bryan Kilgore and Randy Andra Newton, Jr. had been shot execution-style; one of the victims was pronounced dead at the scene, while the other died in transport to Columbus Medical Center.
They were both in their early 20s, active in sports, and played on the college's baseball team.
Police have charged Michael Jason Registe with the murders.
