New McCain ad: Paris, Britney, Obama?
John McCain's campaign released a new ad Wednesday that says U.S. Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) doesn't have substance to match his celebrity.
Titled "Celeb," the 30-second spot calls Obama "the biggest celebrity in the world" while showing images of his speech in Berlin that attracted 200,000 people. It also flashed pictures of Paris Hilton and Britney Spears, seemingly comparing the presumptive Democratic nominee to the two paparazzi favorites.
"But," the ad asks, "is he ready to lead?"
It then slams Obama for opposing offshore drilling and threatening to raise taxes, saying, "Higher taxes, more foreign oil, that's the real Obama."
The ad will be aired in Pennsylvania, among other battleground states, and on national cable.
